LINSET has expanded its range of non-destructive testing, thanks to Ultrasound Technique, that is now representing a standard of quality control in dimensional analysis and structural integrity verification of artifacts.

The ultimate generation instrument at our disposal performs thickness measuring and flaws detector function. The instrument flexibility allows to perform on-site analysis and in the process, without interrupting the machining processes on the artifacts.


The Ultrasound technique allow us to:


  • detecting artifacts thickness and depth of any inserts;
  • evaluating qualitative characteristics of artifacts (eg. fiber to matrix ratio in composite materials);
  • identify any defects such as cracks, porosity, delaminations, measuring the exact location and size;
  • check the bonding status between substrates.


The set of probes at our disposal allows to extend the analysis to a wide variety of materials, from metals to monolithic composites and sandwich core materials.

Inspections are conducted by our qualified staff, particularly in fiber reinforced plastics field (eg. glass, carbon or Kevlar fibers) and have been extensively validated through further analysis of a destructive nature.

Carbon Footprint and Life Cycle Assessment

Since it was introduced for the first time back in 1987, the sustainable development has greatly evolved, and today represents a fundamental ethical and social value, it also is an amazing economic promoter and marketing tool.

The increasing awareness of customers about their role to global emission reduction process necessitated the standardization of assessment and communicationmethods for environmental impact of products, finally resulted in a technical specification UNI ISO/TS 14067: Carbon footprint of products — Requirements and guidelines for quantification and communication.

Thanks to years of experience in materials characterization and production process management, LinseT itself as a practical and reliable partner for life cycle assessment (LCA) evaluation, and offered as an adequate guide in PCR (Product Catergory Rules) process.


The in-depth analysis of entire life cycle of products (“from craddle to grave”) also allow you to identify and optimize the main sources of energy expenditure, opening the way to the production process optimization. 


All our accuracy and reliability in our tests

Linset perform about 300 tests according to international standards, adopted by many institutions for material properties and characteristics verification.

Linset is also able to perform full scale tests, specially designed to check the technic requirements and behaviors of materials and sistems and reproducing use conditions.

Linset conducts research with serial tests (especially with termal analysis tests), running the on-site sampling (minimal samples size and geometry).

The tests that Linset can realize are aimed to developing knowledge of characteristics and properties of materials like: adhesives, composites and reinforced plastics, leather, foam, coating materials, wood materials, stone materials, ceramic materials, thermoplastic and thermosetting materials, light metals and alloys, elastomeric materials, sealants, textiles, glass and glass fiber fabrics.

In the Linset production department it is also possible to realize products such as laminate panels, bonding an sealings in a workmanlike manner to compare with the same number from production sites.
